ResMed S9 Stopped working
I have A ResMed S9 that i got in 2013 and it quit working tonight. I put it on tonight and didn't notice if it was working right then as I just rolled over and tried to sleep. i tossed and turned for a couple of hours and finally looked at it and the power button was blinking green and the humidifier was blinking blue at the same time and the screen is blank/off. I checked the plug at the machine, the power block and the outlet and all are firmly connected. I tried it without the humidifier connected, it was the same. i tried with the SD card seated and ejected. same thing. i noticed that the light on the power brick was blinking at the same rate as the lights on the machine and when i unplugged the cord from the machine the power brick light comes on steady and bright. plug it back in and it flashes with the machine. every once in awhile it would look like the screen and everything would start to work for a second or two, the screen would show the ResMed logo an start to load and the button light would be solid but it would stop quickly and blink again.
is my machine dead or is there a fix out there for it? anyone seen this before?

It's in its eighth year. Shouldn't you consider replacing it?
I don't know CjD1973 (the OP) or anything about them, but why let that stop me from answering on their behalf.
Yes, they should consider replacing their machine.

I suspected something like this but was too shy to mention it.

Try plugging it into another outlet, then try a different electrical circuit.

I have a S9 and love mine and dread the day it dies. The Airsense 10 is a pitiful replacement. Noisy and inadequate water supply. But the doc says CPAP machines last about 7 years. Yours is overdue and so is mine. They don't make them like the use to!

The water tank on the Air10 series holds * EXACTLY * the same amount of water as the water tank on the S9 series. (380ml)

Does the power supply blink while plugged into an outlet but not your machine? It would be nice if it was just the power supply.

I'm surprised you think that way. I had a S9 loaner for a year before buying my Airsense 10 apap and they both work perfectly. The new Airsense 10 even has a new humidity level (8).
Machine: Airsense 10 Autoset (humidity 7, slimline hose) (5 years)
Mask: Resmed F30 (medium) (1 year)
Previous masks: Swift FX Nano (5 years); Dreamwear Nasal (few days); Swift FX pillow (few days)

If you have access to a different power brick you could try it or maybe have someone test yours, otherwise I think I would get a different machine.

When the S9 was canceled, I bought one to stretch out the years I could enjoy the machine. Then, I bought an AirSense 10. It works just as well. Maybe a little better.
